About Me
Hi! My name is Yvette Llanos.
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) providing therapy to children, teens, and adults via Telehealth across California. I specialize in supporting clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. My goal is to create a space where you feel seen, heard, and empowered to navigate life’s challenges and create meaningful change.
My approach to therapy is rooted in compassion and tailored to your unique needs. I draw from various modalities, including Humanistic and Strength-Based perspectives, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and mindfulness-based practices. This integrative approach allows us to explore your experiences with curiosity and build the insight and skills you need to move toward your goals.
With over 10 years of experience, I’ve learned that true healing goes beyond treating symptoms or diagnoses. I focus on understanding the whole person and the complexities that shape your life. My communication style is calm, warm, and genuine, fostering a safe and supportive environment where you can share openly without fear of judgment.
In our first session together, we will explore what brought you to therapy, how you have been feeling, and what you hope to gain from our work. I will ask questions to better understand your experiences, strengths, and needs so that we can collaboratively define goals that feel meaningful and achievable for you. Throughout our sessions, we will revisit and adjust these goals to ensure therapy remains supportive and effective for your growth.

My approach is integrative and trauma-informed. I draw from Humanistic and Strength-Based perspectives, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness practices, and EMDR to support healing, build coping skills, and foster self-understanding.
